Description of Villa Manis
The property was completely renovated in July 2009 and now combines the charm of Indonesia with European standards of luxury.
The renovation took longer than 6 months and the owners contracted Ross Franklin, an international architect, to supervise the work. The combination of local materials offers an authentic atmosphere.
The surroundings are characterized by a traditional Balinese village and an open view of the sea 500 meters away and, in the distance, the cliffs of the Bukit.
It is a quiet place, 5 minutes walk to the beach and a little further to Echo Beach with its famous beach barbecues. Echo Beach is a reknowned surfing as well as an international Kyte surfing spot and is becoming, "the place to be" in Bali.
Villa Manis offers High quality facilities and equiments. The villa is constituted of 5 buildings and was built in the heart of rice fields.
The layout of the villa and its 9 airconditioned rooms, including 4 suites, 4 superior rooms and one children's room is as follows:
Car park and entrance
The car park can hold many cars, including 4 sheltered from the sun.
As soon as one passes the entrance to the villa, a warm and soothing atmosphere is immediately noticeable.
The garden
Many frangipani trees bring total serenity to the garden. The trees were carefully selected and the night lighting was chosen to emphasize the essence.
On the rice paddy side, the garden is enclosed by a glass wall to endlessly enjoy the peaceful view.
The villa has three temples for ceremonies and offerings. The largest temple gives the property authenticity.
The main building
A large living room, over 200 m2, opens onto the garden and pool. Its interior decoration confers a personalised feel based on the wide open spaces and a stylish and modern elegance.
Orchids and tropical flowers are regularly displayed in the villa to the exotic beauty.
The living room
The lounge is a large room , decorated in a modern tropical style and furnished with Chinese and Indonesian antiques.
The materials and colors used create an atmosphere that will charm guests amateurs of modern but warm interiors.
The high ceiling of the living room is a remarkable feature of the villa.
All paintings and pictures found in the house were subject to a rigorous and harmonious selection. The centerpiece was painted by the renowned New York artist Pablo Gentile.
The dining room
The table in the dining room measuring over 4 meters and can accommodate up to 14 guests. The room opens onto the terrace and rice fields. Antiques are dotted around the place to contribute to the villa's unique atmosphere.
The bar
At the rear of the dining room, a kitchenette / bar with refrigerator and stove and sink can be found.
The TV room
An air-conditioned room dedicated to audiovisual entertainment will delight guests of all ages. All adepts of musical ambiances and quality movies will be delighted by the high technology of this room.
This room is equipped with a large flat screen (155 cm) and home cinema. (LG Bose) as well as the sound system for the whole villa, garden and pool.
The pink suite
Furnished with a large four-poster bed (180x200cm), a unique creation of a Balinese artist, this suite opens onto a small private garden.
It also includes a sofa, a coffee table, desk and piano and Air Conditioning.
The bathroom has a large copper bathtub and a wide mirror.
The balcony suite
This very large suite of over 50 m2 extends onto a balcony overlooking the garden, the sea and rice fields.
The room is furnished with a king size bed (200X200cm), a sofa, an armchair, a coffee table and a desk.
It is equipped with a large flat screen LG (110 cm), CD / DVD player and Air Conditioning.
On the terrace you can enjoy the sunset lying on a big Chinese day bed or on banana leaf sun beds.
The bathroom is as large as the room itself and is equipped with a double Jacuzzi, and Air Conditioning.
The pool
The infinity pool is composed of two parts for a total of 130 m2. It has breathtaking views of the rice fields.
The large pool (19 x 5,80m) overflows into a small pool (5.80 x 5,80m), making it ideal for sipping a drink by the pool house.
The main building and pool are fully facing West. At sunset, the light and colors of the sky are extraordinary.
The joglo
This building has a lounge and three bedrooms.
The lounge is an ideal space to relax, equipped with a sound system to read in the shade or have a drink with friends. It is furnished with 2 lounge chairs, 2 bean bags, a terrazzo bench, a desk and a fan.
The three rooms have bathrooms with double sinks, toilet, indoor bathtub and outdoor shower.
The bedrooms also offer wardrobe, fridge and safe.
The three rooms are equipped with flat screen TV, CD / DVD, Air Conditionning and fans.
The first room is furnished with a four-poster bed (160x190cm), a table and a solid teak white washed armchair as well as an ebony console and its stool.
The second bedroom is furnished with a white Chinese opium bed (160x190cm), an antique chest and a wicker armchair.
The large double bed (180x200cm of the third bedroom is in black lacquer. The horse console and the leather bench give the room an ethnic feel much appreciated.
The bale
Attached to the joglo and facing the swimming pool, the bale allows you to have an outdoor massage. A massage table is also at your disposal in your room.
The bungalow
This two storey building includes two large suites.
At garden level the red and white suite is furnished with a sofa, a coffee table, a console and a double leather studded bed (180X200cm).
The bathroom has two sinks, a toilet, an indoor bathtub and an outdoor shower. It also has a closet, a safe, a flat screen TV, a CD/DVD and a fan.
Upstairs the blue room is decorated with a white washed solid teak four-poster bed (180X200cm), a sofa, a coffee table and a console.
The room opens onto a large balcony with two chairs and a coffee table.
Inside the room a closet, a safe, an 80cm flat screen TV, Air Conditionning, a fan and a refrigerator are at your disposal.
The bathroom has two sinks, a toilet, a shower and a bathtub.
The pool house
You can enjoy an additional relaxation space for more comfort.
The pool house is equipped with a kitchen, a refrigerator and a stove, a dining room and a lounge area that will help you stay calm when the house is full of friends. It is also fitted with a fan and guest toilet.
Upstairs you find a bedroom with a wicker and wood bed (160x190cm), a console, two chairs, a flat screen TV and DVD player, Air Conditionning, a wardrobe with a safe.
2 armchairs on the balcony invite you to relax while watching the rice fields. The bathroom has two sinks, a toilet, a bathtub and a shower.
The second room is a small child's bedroom air conditioned and furnished with a day bed (90x190cm) with an extra mattress and a bathroom with shower, a washbasin and a toilet.
The room opens onto the balcony with a sofa and a coffee table.
The outside jacuzzi
An outdoor Jacuzzi accommodating 4 / 6 people is an extension to the pool house.
The kitchen
The kitchen is located in a separate building a few steps away from the dining room.
It is equipped with an oven, a microwave, a grill, a deep fryer, a barbecue, 2 refrigerators and wine cellar and food processors.
The manager's office
At the entrance of the property, you find the manager's office.
You have at your disposal a fax and a photocopier, if necessary.
The office extends to the laundry and staff quarters.
